Assistant Branch Manager - 50th Street  

We seek to fill this Assistant Branch Manager position with a confident individual who possesses an enthusiastic attitude to work hard to reach success. Proven sales and leadership skills along with teller and lending experience are a must. The Credit Union will provide on-the-job training along with successful RIFCU Managers and department leads.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 2+ years experience in a financial institution
  • 2+ years of Teller experience including vault and ATM management
  • 6+ months of Supervisory experience including coaching and training
  • Expertise in new accounts, consumer lending, and financial transactions
  • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful

Vice President of Finance 

We seek to fill this Vice President of Finance position with a confident and enthusiastic leader who will work with excellence to reach success. The VP of Finance will be responsible to ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as state and federal regulations. Oversee and direct the functions of the accounting department and staff. Monitor credit union liquidity and cash needs. Establish, coordinate and maintain an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the credit union. Perform job in accordance with all policies and practices of Railroad & Industrial Federal Credit Union.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA license and advanced education helpful.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting and finance within a credit union.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Executive/Leadership role in a credit union environment preferred.
  • Experience interacting with Executive Management, Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and Auditors.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Direct the Credit Union’s investments and assets as part of the Asset Liability Management Committee.
  • Work with auditors/examiners during annual audits and NCUA examinations.
  • Oversee reporting to regulatory authorities.
  • Provide for safekeeping, control and accounting for assets and securities.
  • Direct preparation and evaluation of budget and capital plans.
  • Asset/Liability Management.
  • Continually analyze the credit union’s financial trends and offer recommendations for improvement.

Skills

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent financial management, time management and business acumen.
  • Excellent supervision skills to ensure an efficient and effective department.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of integrity, diplomacy and trust.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and FASB rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of NCUA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of ALM principles.
  • Enthusiasm, dependability and flexibility. 

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm. May be required to work extended hours and weekend as job duties demand.

Travel:

Occasional travel is required for this position. The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel for work activities.
